A tribute show - as the bulk of Open Facers have flown in various directions, folks were resolved to introduce to unknowning freshman the joy and inspiration of music from years past!

Wench delivered a great show tonight - Trevor made do, but missed having a band.

Wonderful people here - a very mellow show, sandwiched by some interesting cultural events. Bowdoin seems a land of sane, friendlyl people.

5/26 - Dana & Faith / Advrb / Bear Paw / Jessica Green / Alicia Best / Ollie Johnson / Scott Clausen / Boyfriends / Bennington College (traveling)
This was the release show for Dana & Faith's 'What's Your Favorite Spice?' and Advrb's 'Hot Air Balloon'. We began in the Crossett Library courtyard, and travelling in and around buildings, under trees, across lawns, up and down paths. Advrb and Dana & Faith played their sets switching back and forth while walking betwee locations, and at each stop (maps were handed out to guests at the beginning and as people joined) a guest played one or two songs. We ended up on the porch of the admissions office, where cupcakes, candles, and compact discs awaited.
APRIL 2009
4/3 - Advrb / Pegasissy / Jo-Anne Hyun / Emily Tareila / Bennington College (Crossett)
Andrew and Emily released collaborative zines made with their distant partners, 'AD LIB #4' and 'We've Got Issues.' Advrb released the Revive Old Wonder cassette, while Pegasissy released the Only The Sound Between Us reissue. Cookies and tea were served. There was a postcard making crafts table. Extensive amounts of zines were available for free/trade/small funds. The show was comprised of alternating readings and musical performances. Pictured here!

This was a show to benefit a political cause... Mountain Man took their show to the stairwell of the third floor, which was haunting and beautiful.

Dana and Faith organized this dessert-oriented show, where dessert was served and only songs about dessert were played.

In addition to the normal music repetoire, James thought it best to do a visual art performance. With an impressive collection of tools, he asked the audience for articles of clothing to become his canvas... at first reticent, the audience eventually was patiently waiting in line for chaos to unfold on their hoodies, bags, etc. Pictured here.
